Club Recovery Welcomes Marsha Partington, MA, LADC!

Club Recovery would like to extend a warm welcome to Marsha Partington, MA, LADC to the clinical team. Marsha comes to Club Recovery after working several clinical roles at Wayside Recovery Center.

From Marsha:

It is a gift to work with clients as they seek recovery from the disease of addiction. I am constantly amazed at the courage and resilience they demonstrate.  Since graduating from Hazelden Graduate School of Addiction Studies, my path included working as an LADC at Pride Institute Residential Treatment in Eden Prairie.   During that time, I completed specialized training in understanding Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming clients. Taking that knowledge back to Pride, I created gender specific programming as well as facilitate a weekly Transgender Support group.

Before coming to Club Recovery,  I was a counselor at Wayside Recovery Center, helping implement their outpatient program in St. Paul,  and then moving to their Residential treatment Center as the Multicultural Programming Counselor, creating socially conscious programming.

Through freelance work in the Twin Cities, I am able to share my expertise in grief & healing as well as LGBTQ issues.  Presenting at conferences, treatment centers, sober houses and public agencies nationwide about creating safe and welcoming environments for the Transgender Community is a privilege and has become one of my greatest passions.

I am proud to be part of Club Recovery.  It is a dedicated team of professionals providing innovative client centered care for co-occurring disorders.  As we grow, we  continue working hard to meet the needs of all clients we serve.

When not at work, I enjoy being with my two dogs, kayaking, writing and hiking.
