Meet Our Team

Jeff Aasen, LADC

Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor
MN Certified Gambling Treatment Provider

As a chemical substance use and gambling assessor, I am often the first person a client will meet in the recovery process. It is important to me that the client feels comfortable and valued. My goal is to help my clients feel at ease while conducting a thorough and fair assessment of the individual’s presenting issues. My role is to help determine what level of care will best support a client.

At Club Recovery, I also serve as a float group counselor. I have a background in coaching athletics at the high school level and enjoy incorporating healthy lifestyles and supporting my clients in identifying short and long-term goals that are meaningful to them. My approach is a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. My work with my clients often focuses on identification of triggers and developing coping skills, establishing self-care practices, and helping my clients reconnect with activities that were lost during their addiction. I also often support my clients in finding new interests and passions as they move through their recovery process. As a person in long-term recovery, I utilize my personal experience as well my education as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor and State Certified Gambling Treatment Provider to meet my clients where they are at and support my clients on their path to recovery.

I completed the Addiction Studies Program at Metro State University in St. Paul, MN and hold certification from the International Gambling Counselor Certification Board (IGCCB) as a Level I trained Gambling Treatment Provider.
