Telehealth Services

The health and safety of our clients and staff is always our top priority. Due to the current health crisis, all appointments are being conducted as remote/mobile video appointments to ensure our clients can continue to receive uninterrupted, high-quality care. We plan to maintain telehealth as a primary way to deliver therapy services until public health authorities’ recommendations change.

Our staff recognizes that you may have questions or concerns about what these changes mean, and we are happy to provide clarity and guidance regarding our current services. We have included answers to some of our most commonly received questions below and encourage you to reach out to us for further information that might be helpful to you. We continue to be here to support and serve you.

Telehealth Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Do you offer in-person groups?

Answer: Starting June 21st, 2021 we will begin offering a hybrid option for our outpatient groups. This means that clients will have the option to attend one day per week in person if they would like. This is optional and clients are still able to participate fully through Telehealth if that fits their needs. Please call and speak with our receptionist for more information and updates about in-person services!

Question: What is Telehealth?

Answer: Telehealth is the provision of therapy services using telecommunication technology.  At Club Recovery we use two platforms, Zoom and Doxy.me. These platforms enable us to provide appointments through video conferencing on a cell phone, tablet, or computer.  Appointments via telehealth allow all of our clients to have access to convenient, stable support from their providers regardless of ability to meet in-person.

Question: What if I don’t have a smart phone, computer, or tablet?

Answer: If you do not have access to a tablet, smartphone, or computer, we can still meet via telephone. During the COVID-19 pandemic, insurance companies have lessened restrictions and allow telephone-only therapy if clients do not have access to video. It can also be helpful to call your insurance company with any questions regarding reimbursement for telephone therapy sessions.

Question: How do I schedule a Telehealth Session?

Answer: Telehealth sessions are scheduled in the same way we schedule in-person sessions. You may speak to your provider or the front desk staff to schedule an appointment. Once you schedule a Telehealth session, you will receive an email with instructions on how to attend your session as well as an invitation to our client portal to complete any paperwork if needed

Question: How secure are the technology platforms utilized by the clinic?

Answer: All technology is HIPAA compliant and encrypted to ensure data security.

Question: How are Telehealth sessions billed to my insurance?

Answer: Telehealth sessions are billed to your insurance in the same way in-person sessions are billed. Telehealth sessions cost the same as an in-person session; therefore, you will have the same co-pay for an appointment.

Question: Can I do my appointment from anywhere?

Answer: Yes, our telehealth platform utilizes an easy-to-use mobile app that can be used anywhere on a smartphone or tablet. We recommend that you connect from somewhere private and distraction-free to receive the full benefit of remote therapy.

Question: Is Telehealth effective?

Answer: Studies have demonstrated that interactive telehealth therapy sessions are equal in their effectiveness to in-person psychotherapy, while also increasing access to care for clients (American Psychological Association, 2013).
