Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. At Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, I earned my Master’s in Counseling and Psychological Services with a Graduate Certificate in Addiction Studies.
My goal as a therapist is to create a safe and warm environment where clients are free to explore their innermost thoughts and emotions. I believe that healing occurs in a space that feels welcoming and nonjudgmental. It takes courage to seek help, and my goal is to help you feel understood and empowered throughout the healing process. I work collaboratively with clients to help them find deeper understanding of themselves, their thoughts and behaviors.
My approach is cognitive-behavioral, integrative and client-centered. I have interest in working with a variety of concerns such as addiction, depression, anxiety, stress, body-image, challenging life transitions, trauma and relationship issues.
I have particular specialty in working with alcohol and drug addiction and other compulsive disorders. I am passionate about understanding the complex relationship between mental health and addiction and am committed to helping clients make meaningful change.
